2 Invited Chairs and 36 Research Grants open calls under "Inpactus" project in Portugal
The Navigator Company and RAIZ Technology Insititute are pleased to announce the open calls for 2 Invited Chairs and 36 Research Grants under "Inpactus", a co-promotion R&D project between The Navigator Company / RAIZ – Forest and Paper Research Institute, the Universities of Coimbra and Aveiro and, in partnership with in partnership with other Portuguese Universities and international RTO’s.
The “Inpactus” project aims to promote a green, global, sustainable and competitive bioeconomy in Portugal, based on pulp-and-paper industry.
The project lasts for 4 years, involving a global investment of around € 15 million, eligible investment of € 13.3 million. The operation will have a global team of 180 people (including PhD researchers, research fellows, and technicians from industry).
The Navigator Company / RAIZ, the University of Coimbra and the University of Aveiro, simultaneously open the awarding of 36 research grants for masters and doctors degrees in various areas of science and engineering. The Navigator Company will finance two international invited chairs, to foster new knowledge in fields of common interest both to the University of Coimbra, University of Aveiro and The Navigator Company, in the bioeconomy and biorrefinery area and paper and pulp areas.
