SusPlast

The Spanish Research Council (CSIC) has recently launched SusPlast (www.susplast-csic.org), an Interdisciplinary Platform for Sustainable Plastics towards a Circular Economy coordinated from CIB-CSIC. The platform aims to develope research and innovation activities, including socio-educational strategies, in the field of plastic production processes and their recycling, in order to implement plastics management based on a circular economy.
WoodZymes will contribute to this platform by developing renewable lignin-based building blocks for plastic materials using tailor-made biocatalysts.
