Our first technical meeting took place last week in Seville, kindly hosted by partner IRNAS-CSIC. The WoodZymes consortium has met 6 months after the project kick-off to discuss about the ongoing activities and the plan for the next period. Good progress is being made in the search and optimization of extremozymes to be applied for lignin and hemicellulose biotransformation, whereas the first technical lignins are already available to be delivered to partners.
